Wisconsin Public Service Corporation is a utility company headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and the company covers northeastern and north central Wisconsin as well as the southern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The Companys transmission voltages are 138,000 volts and 345,000 volts. Its subtransmission voltage is 69,000 volts. WPS uses two distribution voltages, 14,400 volts and 12,470 volts. WPS is interconnected on the power grid to Minnesota Power in Duluth, Minnesota via the Arrowhead-Weston 345,000 volt line and via interconnections on its 345kv and 138kv network to We Energies to the south and west of its service territory.
Two of its generating plants are the Weston Power Plant, rated at 1,100 megawatts located near Wausau, Wisconsin, and the J. P. Pulliam Generating Station, a 375-megawatt plant located near downtown Green Bay at the mouth of the Fox River.
